Over 33 years I've lived in Fort Collins, but I'd never explored Dixon Reservoir and Pineridge Open Space on the west side of town. One nice winter day when the temperature had risen to nearly 10 degrees (grin), I took the opportunity to cross country ski clockwise about two miles on the trails around the lake, ending up after sunset.
