Three and a half hours and several shoreline stops later, over two miles from the car around the north peninsula, I pulled up (note kayak in the distance) on the north shore. The boat was already pretty heavy and it was getting late, so I only spent a little time going north a ways into some private land where I'd gotten permission to rockhound.
